Biography
Place of Birth: Lawton, OK
Education: I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas in 1994. The highlight of my college experience was my exchange year to Giessen, Germany where I met my husband and lived for several years. I later completed a post-bacc in Biology at Bloomsburg University and was awarded my MS in Molecular Biology from the University of Florida in 2001. After working for several years at our state university, I returned to college. I earned my MA in Counseling and Psychological Services in December, 2015.
Family: I live with my husband and youngest daughter. My other four children have fled the nest and are busy working or in college.

My passions and hobbies: In my spare time, I enjoy writing, spending time with family, and traveling.
My favorite adventures so far: I loved living in Germany, and enjoyed the year that I lived in Northern Ireland. My favorite adventures are camping trips that I’ve taken with the kids to Wyoming, Montana, and Canada!
My greatest challenge: I was diagnosed with lymphoma during my pregnancy with our little caboose. Getting through treatment and sorting through the rubble later was tough.
